In Complete Desperation, A Stray Cat Returns To The Home That Had Once Shown Him Some Kindness!

A kind act of compassion toward another living being can mean much more than you think! For one stray cat, it changed his whole life.

A couple living in Montreal, Canada, started leaving food out for stray cats living in their area last year. It wasn’t long till they met a rather grumpy-looking cat who appeared to be much more hungry than many of the other strays. He looked a lot like one of their own kittens, Pruno, so he was in turn named “Granpruno.”

Having regular meals meant that Granpruno showed up on a daily basis. He had a loving nature to go along with his good looks, so the couple assumed he might have another family somewhere nearby.

“This big cat was looking for caresses and he was happy to have attention. He came as soon as they called him,” Chatons Orphelins Montréal, a Montreal-based animal rescue, shared on Facebook. “He was nice and sociable; his hair was beautiful [and] he looked normal.”

When their regular visitor failed to show up one day they became concerned. Eventually deciding he must be safe with his own family, but, they continued leaving out meals in the hopes he might return.

Thankfully, the nine-year-old cat willingly took his medicine he returned to his old self.

“He’s the cream of the crop and he gets along well with the other cats in the house,” Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared on Facebook. “He likes to talk or to have cuddles [and] still likes to have fun. If you have feathers or games with catnip, he becomes a cat that rolls on his back and rubs himself with pleasure. He runs after feathers and he has fun like a baby.”

The rescue was worried about finding the older cat home, especially one with health problems. But they needn’t have worried as the couple who found him had also fallen in love with him, and Granpruno was welcomed into a home of his own.
