After being found abandoned three kittens are dropped off at Pickens County Animal Shelter in Jasper, Georgia. Rescuers had looked for a Mom but she had clearly been gone for some time.
Assistant Director of the Shelter, Judy Moody decided to introduce the kittens to another Mom, a dog called Mary who had just had a litter of puppies. What occurred next was very touching.
Mary seemed to know that what the kittens needed the most was a Mom and made up her mind to help.
In a wonderful response, she stepped in and offered to foster the three kittens herself.
One by one she takes each kitten into her kennel and tries to make them comfortable.
