He walked up to his new human friends with his tail up.
He looked into their eyes with an expression that appeared like he was saying thank you.
Clearly very please wit what was on offer he kept eating and eating, wolfing everything down until his belly was completely filled. David and his wife stayed with him for a few hours as he slowly emerged from his hidey-hole.
Soon they could see they had finally gained his trust.
Afraid at first they had been worried he wouldn’t let them get close enough, though their patience he learned not all humans are bad.
“Everything is going to be ok now little one.”
“We then lured him into a carrier and brought him home,” David said. “My wife named him Oliver or ‘Ollie’ for short.”
It didn’t take long for Ollie to come out of his shell after he arrived in his new dwelling. “He was skittish at first but has come around and now needs to lie in somebody’s lap every afternoon,” David said.
“Our other animals were all super excited to meet him! He gets on with them and started being more relaxed.”
They gave him a teddy to snuggle with and he absolutely loved it.
“He spent a week crying and meowing in the warehouse, has not stopped purring since we got home,” David shared.
Now here’s Ollie six months later.
This is what a loving home can do.
