Late For An Appointment, What She Found Lying Completely Helpless On The Sidewalk Left Her With A Choice To Make!
Late for an appointment, she took a different route and quickly found that it was meant to be!
Early last year, a young woman named Camryn found herself late for an appointment and decided to take a different route in order to save time. Running five hours late and in a rush, she came across an almost newborn kitten and knew perhaps this change of plans was meant to be.
“Five hours late and in the complete opposite direction of my usual route, after one of the lowest weeks of my life this May, I found a single kitten on the sidewalk, and there was nothing random about it,” Camryn said.
Camryn thought this moment was serendipitous because she had told her mum just the day before that she wanted a new cat. In fact, she had already chosen a name for her new feline friend, the name she had chosen was Cowboy.
“I’m getting a cat, and I’m naming him Cowboy,” she said, only to take a walk the very next day and find a newborn kitten lying helpless on the sidewalk.
Sadly there was no mum or siblings to be found. However, cowboy at least had a chance at life with Camryn. A life that was meant to be with his new mum, who now found herself feeding him around the clock.

“The chances of him surviving without his mom were almost zero, and if I had decided to go on that walk just 5 minutes earlier or later, he wouldn’t have stood a chance.”
“Right in front of me was the kitten I had asked for. He was a boy and had black and white spots like a cow.”
“I brought him home, cut his umbilical cord, washed him with dawn dish soap, gave him his first bottle, and stared at him in awe. I didn’t just find any kitten, I quite literally found Cowboy.”
As you might expect Cowboys’ story went viral once it appeared on TikTok, and seven months later Camryn shared an update.
By this time Camryn and Cowboy had become very close over this period with Cowboy wearing a collar with his name and Camryn wearing a bracelet with the name Cowgirl. Those following the channel loved the updates and enjoyed watching Cowboy grow from a kitten into a very handsome cat.
A year after she found him she posted another update on the Cowboys’ birthday (the day she found him).
“A YEAR of cowboy!!! happy 1st birthday & gotcha day little one.”
It’s so wonderful to see how happy these two are in each other’s company. She goodness Camryn changed her route that day.
Perhaps it was fate after all.
