Unable To Find Food And Water In The Soaring Temperatures, He Only Has Enough Energy Left To Find Shelter In The Shade!

Unable to continue he has run out of options and does the only thing he can, find some shade, and wait for the inevitable.

Left behind by his family he was forced to try and fend for himself in the 100F temperatures of Los Angeles.

Unable to find enough food to eat, and enough water to drink in the soaring summer temperatures, his body began to shut down to the point where all he could do was try and find shelter in the shade, under a parked car.

And that’s where he was found by a kind-hearted woman who immediately contacted Cats of San Bernadino for help.

Rescuer Jaina soon arrived on the scene and immediately reached under the car. The exhausted cat allowed her to pluck him to safety without putting up a paw in protest.

Her heart sank as she held him in her arms, snuggling into her neck she could see the poor state he was in! It was almost too much to bear.

“He was like please, someone take me,” said Jaina.

He was immediately placed in a carrier and taken for emergency treatment. When staff first saw him, he was so underweight they thought he must be a female!

After closer inspection they found him to be a severely malnourished neutered male.

From day one it was clear how weak and dehydrated he was, meaning his body could put up very little resistance to infection.
