A husband and wife team was determined to rescue a young momma cat and her identical mini-me.

So they set up a humane trap laced with irresistible food and patiently waited until they saw her walking down the street with her identical kitten in tow.

At first, the kitten did not allow people to approach, but this did not last long. Xavier melted as a result of kind voices and touches, as well as embraces. He began to purr and squinting in reaction to the caress in less than two days.

He still has a fear of loud noises and unexpected movements, but he has gained confidence.

His mother had been sterilized before being released into the wild. She comes to feed local activists on a regular basis, and she is doing well.

In a few weeks, Xavier will be ready for adoption. We are hoping that he will be adopted by wonderful individuals!
