Covered In Scars, Can They Bring Him From Hissing And Spitting To Cuddling And Kissing?

Battle scared he had been living on the cold hard streets of Brooklyn for years. Seeing something in him they try to give him a second chance.

He looked like the tough old street cat that he was, but there was something about him, another side to him hardly anyone here saw. So Sonia, a cat rescuer, and another friend decided to trap him and see if that other side would emerge and maybe even find Charlie the street cat, his forever home.

After successfully trapping Charlie the next step was testing the waters temperament-wise.

Just how would this lifelong street cat react to being in close proximity to humans?

First, they poked their fingers into his cage and tried petting his head. He tolerated this physical contact without hissing or spitting and getting too stressed out.

He was one tough looking street cat, covered in battle scars and fresh wounds. What he did when they picked him up was completely unexpected!

Though he did appear a little withdrawn.

The big breakthrough moment came when they took him to the vet for an examination. While checking Charlie over the vet was constantly petting his head, trying to reassure him when suddenly he began pushing his head into her hand and rolling around like a puppy.

He even began to purr!!

They found that Charlie was about 8 years old, and was not in very good health. He had abscesses on his neck, many bad teeth that needed removing. But that wasn’t the end of his health issues!
