Instead of shooing the cat away as many people would do, Lisianne, from Québec, fed the hungry feline and named her Usagi.
Thereafter, the cat would return on a daily basis for regular meals, her belly all the while growing larger, as it would soon turn out, not just from the food.
After several weeks of regular care, Usagi disappeared for a short while, only to return a few days later with a host of extra company.
She had brought her litter of kittens to meet the kind woman who had cared for her. Lisianne allowed the family into her home on regular occasions, so much so, Usagi built a nest under the bed.
