Too Terrified To Move She Lies Curled Up Into A Ball On The Side Of The Road!

Just over a month ago, Laila D’Souza, founder of Rescue For Winston, was heading home after work when she saw what looked like a tiny kitten curled into a ball on the side of the road.

This kitten was clearly in a dangerous situation with so many cars passing close by! So Layla pulled over to take a closer look. Her instincts had been right, it was a tiny kitten too terrified to move, so she plucked her to safety and took her back to her car.

The tiny feline looked to be around four weeks old and was obviously relieved to be no longer cowering in the face of oncoming traffic.

“She was petrified and I don’t blame her. She was shivering and refused to eat,” said Laila.

Though she was still terrified when she moved into her new home at bella.thebmd, she soon began to relax.

Quickly pulling over they find two cat moms on the roadside asking for help for their 9 babies!

“Less “than a day later with some TLC, she was chasing the large Saint Bernard and her mom,” said Laila.

“She was absolutely terrified when she first came to me,” said Scarlet’s Foster Mom.

However, with lots of love and patience, she quickly began to settle down, learning that humans weren’t that terrible after all.

And with each and every day she became more and more relaxed.

“It took a couple more days for her to be 100% comfortable. She finally started to run up to us and rub her head on us.”

Before long her new mum found she had a larger-than-life kitten on her hands who quickly took control of the house, chasing the resident Saint Bernard, Bella, everywhere.

Only to quickly fall asleep in mum’s arms soon after.

“She is really funny, super energetic and playful.”

“All the energy gets drained during the day, so when night comes she’s ready for a lot of love,” said her new mom.

Things suddenly took a turn for the worse when Scarlet developed severe diarrhea and was subsequently found to have giardia.

Despite being seriously ill, the giardia didn’t seem to have any effect on Scarlets’ energy levels at all. This illness was soon brought under control with the right medication.

How Scarlet ended up in this precarious situation no one knows.

But one thing is sure, thanks to Laila she has a life full of love to look forward to.
