On His Own, With No Mom To Care For Him, All He Can Is Cry For Help!

Outside in the yard one day, doing some chores, she suddenly heard some squeals coming from inside the barn!

There all alone on the cold concrete floor was a tiny kitten, she couldn’t have been any more than 10 days old!

Doing her best the kind-hearted woman did her best to keep the kitten comfortable while she waited, and hoped, for mom to come back. Mom never returned and she was worried about her body temp she scooped her up and contacted Catsnip Etc.

 Catsnip Etc is an all-volunteer rescue group based in Indiana. They quickly made arrangements to take in the tiny little barn orphan.

“Momma never came back for her, nor was an adult cat ever even seen. She is covered in fleas and very hungry but we can fix that!!,” said Catsnip Etc.

Once she had caught onto bottle feeding, the little orphan drank as much as her little belly could hold. After all, the nasty little bloodsuckers were removed, the tiny kitten, now named Cricket, was put to bed in a nice warm nest.

Her first night under Catsnip Etc’s care, Cricket had no pesky fleas bothering her, along with a full belly, so she drifted off to sleep with the greatest of ease cuddling a teddy bear.

Cricket rebounded over the next few days, mainly due to consistent around the clock care and attention. She was soon putting on weight and soaking up all the love and attention she was receiving.

Vocal when she was found, she remained vocal, calming down though when she had her bear by her side.

Probably due to being an orphan, Cricket craved a lot of attention.

So when her foster mom could not be around, her bear became her go-to cuddle buddy.

She loved her bear so much it got to the point where she wouldn’t go anywhere without it.

She had to have her cuddly friend even when she had her vaccines.

Now that she has her little legs in full working order, Cricket is constantly on the move, her kitten curiosity taking her to new parts of her home, and interactions with her human friends.

However, one hard fast rule remains even when cuddling humans, and that is teddy must be involved.

As she grows Crickets’ personality is coming more to the fore, revealing a cute black panther with a very outgoing personality.

” Look how big she has gotten since we first rescued her,” said Catsnip Etc.

Potential parents have to be aware of one thing though when adopting Cricket!

Both Cricket and her bear are a package deal.

Her future forever family will not only have a tiny black panther to take care of, but they will also have a teddy bear to care for too!
