What they found at the man’s shocked them. Next to the house, tucked into a pile of trash was a tiny strawberry tabby who could barely move, let alone raise his head.
The homeowner had tried to feed him, as did the couple soon after they arrived, but he wasn’t interested, just meowing piteously.
They tried coaxing him out, however, he really couldn’t move.
So the woman gently reached in to pull him out.

What made a heartbreaking scene even harder was that she could feel all his bones, plus his tail was missing.
They placed the very sick kitten into a cat carrier and took him home. Unfortunately, it was Sunday and he couldn’t be taken to the vet so they cleaned him up as much as they could and hoped he would survive the night.
Thankfully he made it through the night and was taken to the vet where he was described as being in “pretty bad condition.”
He was further cleaned up, deflead, and had the remains of his tail removed.
Given the name Julius, he bounced back from his treatment and transformed into a happy, healthy energetic kitten who just wanted to play and be loved.
As days went by Julius went from strength to strength and soon got to meet the couple’s son who quickly fell in love with the outgoing feline.
That love was soon reciprocated when out of the blue Julius jumped onto Roberts’s lap and chose him as his dad.
Julius’s loves now are biting his dad’s nose, watching football with his dad, and roughhousing with his feline friends.
Julius just wanted to live and be loved. Thanks to a loving couple and their son, he got both.
