It seemed as though the mother cat had done all she could and knew if they were to have any chance at life, she would leave her babies with someone she knew and trusted.
Finding the siblings covered in slime and flies he rushed them to operation Fancy Free, Evans WV, who immediately placed them in critical care. Sadly one of them passed away that first night. Thought to be around five weeks old, both of his eyes were badly infected rendering him practically blind.
“They were critically ill, covered in white slime and flies. He was barely 6 oz, about 5 weeks old and near death,” said foster mum Kat Null.
The surviving kitten, named Prince, was almost as sick as his deceased sibling, However, suffering from pneumonia, he refused to give up and continued to fight on.
After hearing Prince required around-the-clock care, Kat stepped up to the plate to provide his much-needed treatment. His eyes needed to be soaked, he needed ongoing enemas as well as therapy to help him breathe.

“Prince had to be syringe fed every hour without fail until he learned to master the bottle,” Kat shared.
Under Kats’s care, Prince hovered close to death’s door for almost a month and a 1/2. She tended to all his needs, cleaning his wounds and teaching him how to drink from a bowl.
Koda, the resident dog, never left the tiny kittens’ side, knowing that Prince’s life hung in the balance.
Gradually Prince began to turn the corner, slowly putting on weight. And as he did so his eyes began to clear and a very kitten-ish personality began to shine through.
As his health improved so did the size of his playpen, and the now fearless feline was soon making escape attempts.
Now enjoying his newfound freedom, Kat could see that Prince was now ready for the outside world, and so it was he found himself in a room of his very own with another foster care Kirby.
“We brought in one of our foster’s, a young adult cat, Kirby, to be a Life Coach to Prince so he could learn appropriate kitty skills,” said Kat.
“It was the best thing we did for him. He began living, instead of surviving,” Kat shared.
About one month after he was rescued Prince had fully recovered and his transformation was hard to believe.
In fact his transformation was so amazing that he found himself adopted in short order by the very man who found him on his front porch.
“He was fortunate enough to be adopted by Dr P., his primary benefactor. Dr P will ensure that Prince (now known as Tyrion) receives the best medical care possible.”
“He is also well cared and provided for and loved by all. He’s our miracle kitty,” said Kat.
Here he found he had a brand-new brother in the form of Toby. Prince truly is a miracle kitten.
