Due to the infection, the wound needed to be drained, this meant it wouldn’t be able to be wrapped.

They kept it clean and after a few days, she began to relax and trust her caregivers.

They gave her the name Kirby.

Even though the guys at Flatbush were busy with all their other rescues, they still found time to hang out with Kirby whose leg was improving every day.

Kirby though had decided that she preferred to be carried rather than walk.

After several visits to the vet, Kirby was finally ready for adoption so it was time to say goodbye.

Always a difficult thing for foster parents to do.

They found the ideal family and Kirby now has a big sister, Poppy, to play with and keep her company.

And the perfect Mom to snuggle up with.
