13 Years After Her Cat Went Missing She Gets A Phonecall!

Thirteen years ago, Janet Adamowicz experienced the heartbreak of losing her beloved four-year-old kitty cat, Boo. Despite her desperate efforts to find her furry friend, all attempts to locate Boo proved futile, leaving Janet with a lingering sense of loss and uncertainty.

After a year of fruitless searching, Janet reluctantly accepted that Boo might never return and decided to provide a loving home for two other adorable kitties—Ollie in 2008 and Tessie in 2014. However, deep down, she secretly hoped that Boo had found a new home and was leading a happy and healthy life elsewhere.

An Unexpected Phone Call Brings Astonishing News

Then, one day, the phone rang. “I received a call on Thursday regarding a missing kitty cat,” Janet recounted. “I was puzzled since both Ollie and Tessie were right here with me.” However, the caller insisted that their records showed Janet as the owner of a cat named Boo.

Dumbfounded but curious, Janet decided to investigate further and headed to the veterinary clinic mentioned during the call. And there, to her utter disbelief, stood Boo—her long-lost feline companion. “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw her at the clinic, and she recognized me,” Janet exclaimed.

“I’m not sure where she went or how she survived all these years, possibly relying on the kindness of strangers for food,” Janet speculated.

Boo: Resilient and Healthy Despite the Years Apart

Boo, despite her advanced age, displayed remarkable health and vigor. During her years of wandering, she had only exhibited signs of tiredness and mild dehydration. An anonymous woman had found Boo and brought her to Wicstun Vets in York, with no additional information except that the cat had been discovered in a town located 40 miles away, having journeyed for several weeks.

“As a young kitten, Boo always loved the outdoors and embarking on adventures but would always return home,” Janet reminisced. “We have no idea how she traveled those 40 miles or why, but her resilience as a stray cat at the age of 17 is truly remarkable.”

“Now that she’s back, even though she’s only five years old, Boo still recognizes me and has been my constant shadow. The other two cats are less thrilled, but I hope they will eventually warm up to Boo.”

A Heartwarming Reunion and Emotional Moments

When Boo and Janet were finally reunited, emotions ran high. A veterinary spokesperson described the scene, saying, “There wasn’t a dry eye in the building. Boo immediately recognized her mother, and within minutes, they were engaged in full facial rubs, hugs, and joyful meows.”
