24 Photos Of Majestic Balls Of Mega-Fluff Floofing About In The Snow!

You know what they say about Chonky cats? The Chonkier the cat, the more there is to hug. Just to prove our point here are 24 photos of Majestic balls for Floof from Finland.

These cats are not just floof they are mega-floofs, so to kick your day, put a smile on your face and give you a reason to get out of bed in the morning, here is a list of chonkiest, floofiest photos of these four feline friends enjoying a day out in the snow.

Four Chonky cats from Finland who meet the ‘more there is to hug’ criteria are Sämpy, Hiskias Hääppönen, Elmeri, and Nelli. All four cats hail from Northern Finland and judging by the photos you are about to see, they have to be amongst the happiest cats on the internet.

The cat’s owner, Riikka Hedman gave an interview to Bored Panda regarding their ‘careers’ in publishing and how Sämpy, in particular, became an internet star. You will find the interview a little further down.

“Sämpy is a 6-year-old domestic cat and isn’t a special breed, although he looks like a Norwegian Forest cat. Elmeri, the gray cat, is 11 and he is also domestic cat. Hiski, the biggest tabby without white paws, is a half-Norwegian Forest cat and is 2 years old. They all are neutered male cats. On my sites, there are also pictures of a gray-white cat, Nelli, but she passed away earlier this year,” Riikka explained about her cats.

She continued to say that Sämpy adores outdoor activities when the weather isn’t too cold. “He is so happy when he goes with me on a small trip to the old forest near our house. There is a small river there, as well as many other exciting places, and interesting scents. Elmeri and Hiski prefers to stay in the yard, at home, but sometimes they come along for a walk. My cats jump over obstacles I build in the back yard for them, especially in the winter. It is easier to demarcate the jumping area when there is a lot of snow.”

and so the sun comes up to gaze on my glory…..

Riikka told boredpanda.com that she had the 2014 photographer of the year award in Finlands photography magazine competition. Her prize was a super-fast camera. Understandably over the moon about her prize, she then began to practice with her new camera. While out one day with Sämpy, she took a great shot of him jumping. She sent the shot into a local newspaper, it became so popular that a journalist was sent to write an article about him. Once it was published she got a lot of requests about Sämpy having his own Facebook page. So Riikka created both a Facebook page and an Instagram account for her leaping cat.

She thinks that the popularity of the social media accounts are due o the fact the most of her pictures are taken outside in Finland’s beautiful natural scenery, with the cats being forced to do anything. Sometimes in funny situations, cats just being cats.

“I think that in a good cat picture the cat needs to be natural and do its own cat things.”

“Uh no I haven’t been having snowball fights, why do you ask?
