Would You Go This Far To Save Your Cat?

What would you be prepared to do, or how far would you go to save the life of your cat if you felt it was in danger?

That’s the question I’m asking here, and for one Toronto man, the answer was quite simple. Almost anything!

On a late Wednesday afternoon, he climbed over his high rise balcony, then walked along a narrow ledge to retrieve his cat who had decided to take a life-threatening stroll.

The man in question would like to maintain his privacy, however, he did say he was just relaxing with his cat when he decided to let in some fresh air, so opened the balcony door.

He did put up his baby gate to keep the cat in, but this orange tabby was having none of that, once his owner turned his back he quite simply jumped over it and slipped under the balconies frame.

Completely unfazed the cat then wandered along the narrow hight rise ledge over to his neighbor’s balcony for a bit of exploration, take in the fresh spring air.

Thankfully it did not end like this high rise rescue!

Now understandably in a highly stressed state, the man knocked on his neighbor’s door to retrieve his cat but no one was home! Meanwhile, his cat was trying to slip under the balcony frame to come home and getting stuck in the process.

I was afraid he was going to hurt himself,” said the man, noting that he feared the cat might try to jump up onto the railing and slip.

“He would likely have fallen if he’d tried to hop back over,” said the man. “I had to do something quick.”

When asked if he was afraid at the time, the man shrugged and said he wasn’t thinking about himself.

Fans are now hailing the man as everything from a hero to “the next Spiderman,” while others are saying he’s nuts to have risked his life for a cat like that.
