Covered In Deep Wounds Things Were Not Looking Good As He Sat On Death Row As The Clock Ticked Down!

THERE WAS NOTHING THE SHELTER COULD DO!

And BenBen’s spirit seemed to keep falling as the days leading up to his scheduled euthanasia date loomed ever closer. He stopped eating and drinking, becoming very lethargic, sometimes almost never moving at all.

Then when it seemed like the inevitable would happen, a woman in the ER department heard about BenBen’s predicament. She knew about his medical conditions but knew she just had to have him. The day before he was due to be euthanasia all the documents were signed and BenBen found himself going to his new home.

“We managed to get everything sorted out the day before his scheduled euthanization and brought him to his forever home,” the woman said.

When they took him home, he perked up almost immediately, and the depressed sickly animal at the shelter transformed into a loving cat. BenBen, the saddest cat in the world, had found a reason to smile again.

As BenBen’s spirit recovered, so did his body. “Even though the vets said he would never walk again,” the woman said, “he was determined to prove them wrong.”

Today, BenBen goes on leashed walks around the neighborhood, and he’ll even run across the room and jump short distances. He often demands to know what his humans are eating, and if they refuse to share, he takes matters into his own paws.

“We sat down with him for about an hour and he was instantly full of purrs, smiles, and ‘thank you’ cuddles,” the woman said.

“I like to think he knew he was safe and had his forever home at that moment.”
