She Took A Chance And Picked Him Up, Snuggling In He Didn’t Move An Inch Until He Was Sound Asleep!

To her relief something beautiful soon happened.

To her relief, he snuggled right into her as he held on tightly with his paws. Not moving an inch until he had fallen asleep.

“Turns out that once he calmed down, he’s very sweet! Shy, but sweet. And look at his adorable little bent ear,” Nikki said.

It would seem the wobbly boy has Cerebellar Hypoplasia which makes him very unsteady on his feet. This had put him at a huge disadvantage while living on the streets. Slower than his siblings it’s hard for him to escape other predators, not to mention cars!

He had been living on the streets for about two and a half months. Something that was about to change as he and his siblings were taken to a foster home with nice comfy beds, lots of food, and most important of all, lots of love.

Nikki gave him the name Diddy. Over the next few weeks, he gradually began to make his adjustment to life as an indoor cat. He began to learn how to use a litter box, eat from a bowl, and socialize with other cats.

“In an attempt to help Diddy become more social and to see his progress, I moved him from his enclosure in the foster room to the family room. This will allow him to get used to normal household noises,” said Nikki

“He is warming up beautifully. He seems to like being held as he purrs instantly when we pick him up.”

As he is a little wobbly this means he is also a little messy. He tens to spill his kibble and spread the contents of his litter box about his enclosure.

With the help of lots of cuddles though, Diddy began to enjoy the lifestyle of a pampered cat.

“You know how cats like to rub between your legs to show you how much they like you? Well, today Diddy did that for the first time! In his wobbly little Diddy way of course.”

No longer having to live in fear, with lots of love and patience, this sweet cat was allowed to come out of his shell in his own time.

Thus he transformed from a frightened feline into a loving cat who will become the perfect addition to someone’s family.
