Four Lives Are Saved When A Family Of Four Instantly Becomes A Family Of Eight!

Their chances of survival were slim, if not for a lucky star it would certainly have been none.

That lucky star came in the form of a kind stranger who found the abandoned baby squirrels and brought them to the Bakhchisaray Miniature Park in Crimea. If not for him they would most certainly have died as they were far too young to take care of themselves.

Staff at the park, first of all, made sure to give the babies a check over and made sure they were comfortable. Next came a rather unusual, rather nervous introduction to what they hoped would be the squirrels foster Mom.

Uncertain because they weren’t sure what was going to happen next. The staff took the tiny siblings to meet Pusha the resident park cat who had just recently given birth to a litter of four kittens.

With plenty of milk to go around, staff hoped her motherly instincts would overpower her natural instincts to eat squirrels and instead extend to adopt the baby squirrels.

Everyone was hoping Pusha and the babies would bond right away. The quick thinking park staff wanted to ensure that the four orphaned squirrels would be happy and healthy, growing up in a rather strange though undeniably cute extended family.

There is always fear present when animal introductions are involved.

This first meeting didn’t look promising.
