Stray Cat Comes Running When Rescuers Find Her Kittens Outside An Empty Apartment!

After they moved out she was left behind with only a cardboard box to protect her from the elements!

An animal rescue group in Goshen, Indiana, was contacted not long ago by a kind-hearted person regarding a cat their neighbor had thrown out when they moved out of their home.

The poor cat had watched them leave and was left with only a cardboard box leaning up against an outside wall for protection from the elements.

A team from Catsnip Etc, an animal rescue group based in Goshen, Indiana, rushed to the scene where a group of neighborhood children showed them where she was hiding.

“They warned us she could be protective of her babies, but when she heard the crack of wet food can she came running and followed the can straight in the carrier. This poor momma was starving,” said a representative from the group.

She clearly knew the sound of a can being opened because she came running, not to defend her kittens, but to eat, soon wolfing down her meal inside the cat carrier. That’s when rescuers found three very cute kittens who soon joined their Mom.

That meant caring for kittens, instead of trying to survive after being dumped by a family, she thought she could trust.
