Finally, he made it to an important milestone.

Armed with medication he was soon on the mend and falling asleep in the strangest places, something that was quickly becoming a habit of his.

“He would fall asleep anywhere, and in all kinds of weird positions. At this point Ollie still slept a good 90% of the time.”

At around 12 days old he opened his eyes. Clearly a very satisfied happy kitten, still napping in his favorite spot.

“When I had dishes to do, reports to type up, laundry to fold, etc. Ollie would be tucked into his favorite spot and keep me company!”

Finally, Ollie made it to an important milestone in his life when he became two weeks old. Cali Cat Lady’s vet told her “if a kitten makes it to this age they are in the “most likely going to make it” zone.

At this age still looked somewhat like a bean that has just escaped its pod when he was sleeping.

When he was awake it was another matter, crying and crying until got attention became a favorite pastime.

“Ollie is a stage 5 clinger.”

“He would cry, and cry, and CRY if he heard people outside of the room he was kept in.”

Cali Cat Lady also found herself coming home on her lunch breaks to feed her demanding young man.

‘I would have to run home on my lunch breaks to feed Ollie, and would usually just eat something thereafter feeding him.”

When Cali Cat Lady was at home Ollie was her constant companion, no matter what she was doing.

He made a good study companion, even when he was asleep.

Soon after a kittens eyes open so does their world.

Ollie was no exception, he was off on mini-adventures exploring every part of his home.

As he continued to grow one thing remained constant.

His ability to sleep anywhere and everywhere.

But as you get older you have to except that some good things must come to an end.

For Ollie that meant learning that he could no longer nap in his favorite place.

Yes, he was still very cute.

But he was also very big!

This meant the Ollie could no longer take his naps in the one place he slept most often.

Tucked in tightly against Cali Cat Lady’s chest.

He quickly found another place in not time at all.

“When Ollie discovered that he was no longer able to be tucked into shirts, or held constantly, he reverted to sitting on shoulders instead.”

Ollie had soon grown in the beautiful cat he was always meant to be.

Around the time Cali Cat Lady was contacted about a tiny kitten who had been abandoned when his owners moved out.

“A friend who saw photos of Ollie on my social media pages connected me one night and asked if I could take in a 3-week old kitten that had been left after his neighbors moved.”

“Ollie is very spoiled, and I want sure how he would act, but I acted on hope and brought the little kitty home.”

The introduction went very well and now Ollie had a tiny charge to teach what it meant being a cat.
