A diagnosis of dry FIP was given.

Finn was found in a dazed state at around 4.30 am.

He was unable to walk and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

“I took Finn to the Oregon Humane Society so he could receive more testing. The veterinary team ran numerous tests and did bloodwork but he continued to decline,” said Shiela.

Finn was humanely put down, a diagnosis of dry FIP was agreed upon.

To say Sheila was devastated was an understatement, Finn had been playing normally just hours before. She resolved to keep a close eye on Poe and Rae.

Sadly just over a week later Poe too succumbed to what was possibly the same illness. He had a seizure and was taken to OHS, where he had another seizure and passed away.

Rey, thankfully, is not suffering from, nor showing any symptoms at all.

“Rey is doing well. She spent the weekend with a veterinarian from OHS,” Sheila said.

Due to Sheila not having eyes in the back of her head at all times, it was decided to place Rey in another foster home. A place where she could be closely monitored should anything happen.

She continued to do well, thriving in her new home under the watchful eye of her new Mom.

It wasn’t long before she was ready to be adopted.

She is now living in a loving home where she goes on many adventures.
