Badly Wounded, And Left For Dead, Unable To Walk, She Then Gives Birth To A Litter Of Kittens!

After being shot multiple times with an air rifle a brave Moma cat gives birth to four kittens!

Extremely frail and unable to walk she was found hiding out in a neighbors garden by Sarah Barker in Marchwood, Hampshire, England. She had blood all over her face and on her paws, she was clearly very badly wounded. Sarah’s first thought was that perhaps she had been hit by a car.

The truth, however, was much worse than Sarah thought. She took the cat to Seadown Veterinary Services in Frost Lane, Hythe.

She said: “I knew something wasn’t right as soon as I saw her, poor little thing.

“I gently placed her in one of my own cat’s travel baskets and took her straight down to Seadown. There so much blood I didn’t feel it was right to even take the basket home. I felt so dreadfully sorry for her.”

Given the name Hope, the poor animal was in so much pain she needed large quantities of analgesic before she could even be examined and X-rayed.

Due to the current lockdown in the UK Veterinary Services have been hit, Vets, however, are still able to practice emergency surgery under rules laid out by the government.

Badly wounded she sees a strange-looking animal dragging itself up her driveway! Her heart sinks when she realizes what it is!

After going missing for four days, somehow, paralyzed, he dragged himself home.

Seadown vet Emma Owen was shocked when she looked at the X-rays and saw the cat had three air gun pellets in her body. Two were in her neck and one had lodged in the roof of her mouth. She had been shot three times!

One of the pellets had caused nerve damage, restricting the cat’s mobility.

Emma, who managed to remove all three, added: “After a day or so of pain relief and antibiotics she started to eat and she is now able to use her leg normally.”

Hope was not wearing a collar and had not been microchipped, suggesting she was either a stray or had been abandoned.

Emma said: “She’s very fortunate to have no lasting problems from her injuries and I do hope she finds a really good and loving home. She certainly deserves it.”

Anyone wishing to adopt Hope and her kittens should contact the Southampton branch of Cats Protection, which is currently looking after them.

They will be available for rehoming once the kittens are more than eight weeks old and the coronavirus-related block on adoptions has ended.
