It Wasn’t Until She Found Him Under Her Daughters Bed That She Realized He Was In Fact A She!

While out and about two months ago in New York City, Damaris saw a cat needing immediate rescue.

A rather round cat, thought to be a male, was found wandering way too close to queues of busy traffic. Worried for his safety, Damaris reached out to foster mom, Alyssa, who volunteers for PuppyKittyNYCity Rescue, for assistance.

She then went back to the store to get permission from the owner who readily agreed to the rescue. PuppyKittyNYCity offered to provide resources and Damairs offered to care for her new arrival until a space opened up at Alyssa’s foster home.

The cat arrived at his temporary home and immediately became very smoochy with his new mom.

However, within 24 hours, something strange happened when she found her new arrival under her daughters be preparing to go into labor. Damaris’s he, was in fact a she, who gave birth to a litter of five very cute kittens.

One of the kittens needed immediate help so Damaris went online gaining all the info she needed to make sure the new mom and her babies were healthy and comfortable.

The new mom was given the name Bella, who seemed quite relieved to have extra help from Damaris to take care of her babies.

Fate it appeared, had interevened just in time to ensure Bella’s babies were born off the streets. Alyssa welcomed the new family into home just a few days later, and Bella found herself in a brand new well supplied nursery.

“I watched her care for her newborns around the clock – grooming them, chirping to them. She’s been like that ever since,” said Alyssa.

‘We’re are so lucky she and all her babies made it.”

“She trusted me when I stepped in to help and soon thereafter, she started playing, and the babies were back on track with weight.”

Bella proved to be a good mom who took great care of her babies.

“She sings to them all day long, gathers them to nurse them and is always checking up on them,” Alyssa added.

“She’s always ready to stop, drop and nurse them anywhere.”

Very healthy and boisterous, the kittens tumbled about with their mom keeping an ever watchful eye.

“They love to play with her ears and tail, and she puts up with it all.” She’s one of a kind.”

Barely an adult herself Bella lets her inner-kitten out from time to time, often joining in her kittens play.

Soon this family of five will all be ready for adoption.

Bella herself has a new home already lined up and waiting once she has raised her babies.

Damaris has fallen in love, and who can blame her.
