Dehydrated And Extremely Malnourished, His Life Hangs In The Balance!

Found covered in dirt, oil, and grease, he was also malnourished and very much fighting for his life.

Around a month ago a person was out one day in South Gate, California when they came upon a kitten in a very bad state. Covered in motor oil and fleas, the filthy little thing was also very malnourished.

Wanting some assistance the Good Samaritan reached out for help on social media. Friends for Life Rescue Network made contact with the kitten’s temporary caregiver and took on the responsibility for trying to turn his life around.

“We thought he was around four weeks old but he was actually seven weeks,” said Jacqueline DeAmor of Friends for Life Rescue Network.

Having been given a bath earlier the kittens’ transformation is amazing to see! Once all the oil, dirt, and grease had been removed, what emerged was a pure white kitten.

However, once he found himself in foster care it was found his struggles were far from over.

Laszlo was very dehydrated and could barely keep anything down. It wasn’t long till his system began to crash and he was rushed to a hospital.

Despite the seriousness of the situation, Lazlo hung in there. He was pumped full of IV fluids and hung to life with a grim determination.

“His last 2 visits have cost nearly $3000. He’s headed back for another overnight stay due to crashing again. Normally a case like this I would bring home and treat myself. However, my ISO space is full,” said Jaqueline.

Having much more experience with kittens in Laszlo’s situation Jaqueline soon decided to take charge of him and brought him home to provide the care and attention he desperately needed.
