She Escapes A High Kill Shelter, Later Crossing Two-State Lines To Give Her Unborn Kittens A Chance At Life!

Soon she began to eat well and gain weight.

But the news was good, as all kittens including the little girl were steadily gaining weight.

And so it was and still is, after being just one week old all kittens are still doing well. Nursing as they should and steadily gaining weight. And Nala herself is no exception to the rule. She is setting a good example to her young ones by doing the same. Eating well and gaining weight.

Well done Nala and well done Here Kitty Kitty Rescue of Indiana.

Read on to hear what they have to say:

“We got Nala from a high kill shelter 2 states away. She was very pregnant and no one any closer would help her. A transport chain was arranged to get Nala to (Here Kitty Kitty Rescue in) Indiana.

Our biggest concern was that Nala would go into labor during the long trip! We had Nala a few days and she was showing no signs of labor,” Jennifer Adams Gillispie of Here Kitty Kitty Rescue said.

“One morning, we went running errands. We were only gone 2 hours and came home and found Nala had had 6 kittens.

They were all very tiny, especially the only girl. The little girl only weighed 2 1/2 oz. Nala had 3 buff kittens and 3 Orange kittens.

We watched the babies very closely the first few days, weighing them every day. Much to everyone’s relief all 6 kittens are steadily gaining weight.”
