She Escapes A High Kill Shelter, Later Crossing Two-State Lines To Give Her Unborn Kittens A Chance At Life!

Nala was in a high kill shelter two states away from Indiana, she was heavily pregnant, and no one close to where she was could help. What happened next was a miracle!

Here Kitty Kitty Rescue in Indiana decided to try and save Nala and her unborn kittens, bringing her across two states to safety. Transport was arranged and the process set in motion. Their biggest concern was that Nala would go into labor during her long journey and deliver her kittens!

But the journey went well and Nala arrived in Indiana the way she left, completely on her own. And that was the way it remained for a couple of days. One morning her carers went out to run some errands only to return and find Nala with a litter of six brand new kittens.

Nala must have felt she had finally found a safe place to deliver her kittens, a place she felt safe and secure.

As it was Nala being a stray was underweight, and her kittens were no exception. All were well underweight, especially the little girl, who weighed in at only 2 1/2 oz. They were watched closely for the next few days.
