One Month Later She Learned He Was Still In The Shelter. The Only Person She Had Left To Convince Was Her Landlord!

Covered in battle scars he was rough around the edges, to say the least. However, when they picked him up off the streets and took him to the shelter he purred up a storm.

Despite a long list of health issues, instead of being a tough street cat, Bruce, short for Bruce Willis, melted into their arms and he purred. In fact, he purred like crazy! This tough exterior covered the heart of a true cuddle bug.

Bruce is a six-year-old strawberry tabby who has lived the majority of his life on the streets. He was brought into the Animal Humane Society in Minnesota, covered in scars from all his battles. He had chipped teeth, a healed wound to one eye and to top it off he tested positive for Feline HIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).

“Bruce is the sweetest and most affectionate boy around. All cheeks and love, he will brighten every day you spend with him,” the shelter wrote.

On International Cat Day, a woman happened to see Bruce on the Humane Society Shelters Facebook page. According to Sandra when she saw Bruce she was completely smitten, the battle-hardened cat staring back at her spoke directly to her heart. So much so she decided to go visit him.

It was only supposed to be a visit, as her landlord would not allow pets. One look into those sad eyes broke her heart. She hoped Bruce would find a good home, but she couldn’t stop checking up on him. Via Facebook, she learned he was ill so she went back to see him, again and again.
