Though He Was Terribly Underweight, The Main Concern, However, Was The Trouble He Was Having Just Breathing!

It was not known how he ended up where he was with such a serious injury?

When Nigel was found, he weighed little more than a pound! The main concern for rescuers, though, was the huge trouble he was having to breathe.

He was found by a dumpster, with his upper lip and nose crusted over by some sort of wound?

It is thought by vets that he probably chewed an electrical cable receiving a shock that caused burns to his face.

The resulting tissue damage had made breathing difficult for Nigel.

When vets tried to flush out his nasal cavity to clear it and ease his breathing difficulties, his nose just fell off!

Nigel was too tiny to have the surgery he needed, the vet explained that he needed to be bigger before it was decided what was required.

The time arrived and he was given facial reconstruction, he now had a upper lip.

While he was in recovery at the animal hospital, one of the workers totally fell in love with him.

Nigel had a new mama and he went home with her where he met his new best friend, Willow.

The pair of them now dote on each other and spend most of their time together.

It’s so heart-warming to see how far little Nigel has come in such a short space of time.
