Soon After Losing Her Babies She Hears A Cry For Help!

Rescued from the streets she was heavily pregnant and due any day. Tragedy would soon bring her face to face with someone else in need!

A good samaritan had found Misty living on the streets, heavily pregnant she realized both the expectant Mom and her unborn kittens needed a chance at a better life and dropped her into the Nevada SPCA.

Around that time, foster Mom, Kathy Stankiewicz happened to be in dropping off another kitten when she agreed to take on the expectant Mom. Not sure when the babies would arrive she knew it would be soon as Misty was rather large!

Soon after arrival, six baby kittens were born, 3 boys and 3 girls. Unfortunately soon after giving birth Misty fell ill, and a fight began, not only to bring Misty back to full health but also to save the lives of her kittens, who one by one fell succumbed to the upper respiratory illness.

I just dropped them all off at the vet. Pray that something can be done to help them get better, said Kathy!

Thet tiny newborns fought hard for their lives, however, one by one they all crossed over the rainbow bridge.

It was a very hard week for Misty, but also for Kathy too, who had to pick the still recovering cat up from the vet right after losing her babies.

The only comfort I can find in any of this is knowing those sweet , precious babies aren’t suffering anymore, Kathy said.

It was around this time, not long after Misty came home that a three-day-old kitten was found and brought into the shelter.

Kathy thought it might be a good idea to bring him home and see what would happen when he met Misty.
