After What They Had Done There Really Wasn’t Any Sign Of This Poor Stray Cat’s Paw!
Her paw was practically blown off, the poor stray cat had been trying to walk around on it for days. What was left was really just hanging on by threads!

A completely mindless act of violence, it’s a description that does not make for easy reading. There really wasn’t anything left of this poor stray cat’s’ paw, it was just hanging on by bits and pieces.
By the time someone and seen Pickle’s and taken her to a rescue center there was not much that could be done. Bone was exposed and the wound was also infected with maggots.
Some bright spark had decided to celebrate their 4th of July by torturing an innocent cat.

They tied fireworks to her paw with rubber bands and then set them off!

There was little that could be done but amputate the entire front leg, right up to Pickles’ shoulder.
“There wasn’t really any paw left. What was still there was barely hanging on by the rubber bands.”
Those are the words of Jamie Wilson, Director of Medical Business with Humane Animal Rescue in Pittsburgh.

But it gets even worse.
“She was severely dehydrated,” Wilson added. “I had to stop her from eating and drinking too quickly so she wouldn’t get sick.”
Post-surgery, Pickles maybe minus a leg. But the 3-year-old female cat is safe and sound, surrounded by those who care for her.
As the rescue states on Facebook, Pickles is recovering nicely and soon will be looking for her forever home.
No one who plays with fireworks need apply.
