In This Bookstore Its Books, Coffee And Cute Kittens. The Best Part Is They All Need Forever Homes Too!

Most people’s first thoughts when adopting a cat is to go to the nearest animal shelter. Not many of us have considered going to the local bookstore?

However, people living near Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada, are doing just that. Otis & Clementine’s Books and Coffee is a bookstore taking the innovative approach of allowing the right people to rescue kittens while purchasing your favorite book.

When you come into this bookstore to either purchase or browse for a book you will find something you don’t usually find in a bookstore. Something very cute, but equally adorable. Along with great coffee, you will find, cute adorable kittens, and lots of them. The best part is all of these kittens are up for adoption, hopefully finding the forever homes they deserve.

Cats, coffee and books, it just doesn’t get any better than that.

Owner of the bookstore Ellen Helmke told Narcity there are usually several kittens at any one time along with Moma cat too.

However, these are not just any kittens taken in from the cold. They are provided by the rescue group South Paw Conservation Nova Scotia.

If are ever near Upper Tantallon and decide to visit Otis and Clementine’s Bookstore, you might find yourself falling in love with a kitten. If so you had better act fast. All these kittens go pretty fast. Bare in mind adopting these kittens is not as easy as picking one out along with your book and wandering out the door!
