26 Years Ago A Tabby Cat Wandered Into Their Garden. Now At The Age Of 31, This Was The Last Thing They Expected To Be Doing!

26 years ago a Tabby cat wandered into their backyard choosing them as his humans.

Ian Finlay found Nutmeg the tabby under their wheelbarrow 26 years ago. He was very scrawny and had a lump on his neck. However, now at the age of 31, he is still going strong.

It is his heart that keeps him going because he very definitely has the heart of Lion. Bouncing back from a serious illness last year, he still bounces along now with one deaf ear and only three teeth left.

He may have used up one of his nine lives already, but with eight of them left he may very well be around for a long while yet.

“He was checked over by the Cat Protection League, who said the condition of his teeth made him at least five years old and we have owned him for 26 years.

After choosing Ian and his wife Nutmeg found himself in a very loving home. Ever since that fateful day he has been a very loyal loving companion.

It was only just over a year ago when Nutmeg was rushed to hospital after a stroke. Due to his age they thought this must have been the end of the road for their beloved cat.
