Meet Stacey’s cat, Buddy. “This was our “Old Man,” 14 to 15 years old Buddy.” We lost him a year ago this week, he cuddled, he rubbed against our legs and lay on top of you around the neck an shoulders.”
“While there he would lick our necks and ears and give us kisses on the cheek. We miss him so much!! We still have one cat, “Jingle,” who is trying to step in to be the next cuddly loving kitty.
But we miss Buddy, he showed up here as a stray when he was about 1 or 2 years old, it was about 2 to 3 weeks before Christmas and our live tree was up. We set him up a box with old towels and rags and some food out on our porch, out of the weather until the tree came down!!
When I went to work he would follow me across the street to my car and sit on the curb as I drove away. It was almost like he was waving and saying goodbye.
Then as I got home, he would on the front porch, waiting for me, he did this every day. He was so friendly and loving, but he had no tags on him. We thought he might have been dumped, or been an indoor cat that escaped!
He wasn’t any trouble in the house and became our follower upstairs at night and downstairs in the morning. We had a litterbox upstairs and one downstairs for his convenience!
The picture you see was the one on my facebook picture until after he passed, and the one there now was when Buddy, Jingle, and Belle were all here and hung out together on my husband’s recliner.
When he wasn’t home of course!”
Thank you, Stacey, for sharing Buddy with us, it sounds like he was a wonderful cat, a loving member of your family. We are so sorry for your loss.
